The Nahar Singh Palace is known for its architecture. It was built by Balram the predecessor of Jat Raja Nahar Singh and is also popularly knows as Ballabgarh Fort-Palace. The Palace is the perfect spot for the lovers of history and architecture.This Jat Raja was killed during the Indian war of independence. This beautifully maintained palace of the legendary Raja Nahar Singh dates back to the 18th century AD. The earliest parts of Raja Nahar Singh's palace were constructed by his ancestor Rao Balram, who came to power in 1739. This construction continued in parts till about 1850. Today, urban centres have come up around the palace. But, the beauty of the palace continues to charm the visitors. The palace is a heritage property and visitors can relax in the well-decorated rooms along with other facilities available here.n the year 2003, the palace has been taken over by the Haryana Tourism and converted into a heritage motel-cum-restaurant. The palace which was in ruins, has renewed to a wonderful specimen of architectural design with the help of well known team of experts of Francis Nacziarg and Aman Nath. The palace beautified with antiques, relics of a bygone past, stone jallies and intricately carved arches, take one back to the times of the Raja Nahar Singh. The facilities here include six beautifully decorated guest rooms with A/c, restaurant, bar, lounge and period style courtyard, gardens and pavilions which are ideal for holding grand heritage weddings. The palace and its surroundings is the favourite spot among the producers of teleserials.The palace is the venue of exhibitions, musical nights, fairs and melas with crafts, food-stalls, acrobat etc. Fashion shows , meditation , yoga and art of living courses are also conducted here.
