St. John's Church:
Short Overview:
This church was built in the year 1821 under British Rule located in the city of Trichy. It is completed with louvered doors which allow fresh air to circulate in the area, thereby filling the hall with fresh air. The Church is surrounded by a cemetery, which has a collection of plaques to the faithful departed, most of whom seem to have fallen victim to Cholera, Malaria (or) Enemy bullets.

There are many places of worship at Trichy and St. John’s Church is one of them built in the year 1812 by the British. Situated in the vicinity of St. Joseph’s Church and Teppakulam. It is located in the hub of the city of Trichy. There is a splendid Graveyard inside the St. John’s Church, which is bedecked with cemented tombs. The victims of Cholera, Malaria and Enemy Bullets have generally found a resting place under-ground the St. John’s Church. Trichy is a religious place and there are abundant temples, mosques and churches uphold the spirit of this region. The architecture of the St. Johns Church, Trichy is worth mention and the pavilions of the church are airy and reflect the spiritual ardor related with it. There are louvered doors that let fresh air inside the Church, thereby making the atmosphere well-ventilated. Saint John’s School has been constructed from the fund raised by the Saint John’s Church at Trichy. The most important feature of the St. John’s Church is that it allows all the visitors to share its grandeur and pray to the supreme Lord.
