Friends now we are moving to next wonder called Petra, placed in Israel Jordan state, west of Dead sea. Petra is also called “Rose City” since it has red & pink finish colour of rocks, stones used for seal. Petra established at 312 or 313 BC and Explored in 1812 by Johann Ludwig Burckhardt, Swiss researcher as a capital city of Nabataeans (Ancient Arabians). Petra is situated at slope of Jebel al-Madhbah (This is one of the mountain in petra) from eastern flank of Arabian wadi ‘s. Petra is dedicated to historical and archaeological aspect.
Petra is
surrounded by rock tower and water flow takes place by streams and rivers.
Petra is also the pathway between Persian gulf and red sea.

======Secrets and Facts======
1 . Petra is
usually identified as sela means rock.
2 . Entrance is
dark, steeply and narrow from east side having 3-4 meter wide only.
3 . Petra’s geological
formation advances by sandstone rocks which helps to water flow into Wadi Musa .
4 . At the end
of gorge (narrow path between rocks) Petra’s most debacle Place stands , where
hewn sandstones known as The Treasury OR Al Khazenah placed. Also there is
several bullets hole seen which is supposed to be done by nomadic tribes.
5. The Nabataeans worshipped
the Arab gods and goddesses of the pre-Islamic times along with few of their deified kings. One of them is Obodas I. Another
god was Dushara and their 3 queens

6 . Some ancient
treasury is supposed to be skulk by these tribes at this place.
7. At just away by these holes, at bottom of
mountain called en-Nejr,One of the most beautiful place of mountain , severs
shine view of city & lots of tombs seen by shining effect of sunlight.
8. Nabataeans have custom of buring dead people
and then worship in Half brake cave.
9. Petra has several tombs.

10. In 363
an earthquake destroyed many
buildings and crippled the vital water management system & some religions left
this place while attacked by Arabs. As time passes many of structure get
weakened and tombs get penetrable to thieves, hence many treasures got stolen at 1929.
11. After 4th century,
nearly 500 years establishment of Petra get remained in the hands of the Franks until 1189. It is still a titular see of the Catholic Church, after concurred by Baldwin
I of the Kingdom of Jerusalem in 600AD.
12. Two Crusader-period castles are
known in and around Petra. The first is al-Wu'ayra and is situated just north
of Wadi Musa. It can be viewed from the road to "Little Petra". It is
the castle of Valle Moise which was seized by a band of Turks with the help of
local Muslims and only recovered by the Crusaders after they began to destroy
the olive trees of Wadi Musa.
Goshhh Petra has lots
of damages; but now after all of this,
it is…….
